The course is designed for Project Management students who need to have an in-depth study of project management in the information system arena.  By viewing projects as systems, time cost and quality are considered as important factors that are related to the success of the projects.

A project manager is continually faced with changing conditions, technology, resources, requirements and schedules.  Technology only serves to complicate matters.  The purpose of this course is therefore to introduce students to the basic concepts of information systems and their design, use and relevance in the management of projects.  Thus a good project manager must not only be proficient at managing, but also retain being proficient as technology changes.

The students are able to understand the way and practice of Project management through and integrated view of the contents, skills, tools and techniques involved in the management of information technology projects.
